I want to get my first house upgrade and i have the wood but i need the money so what is a better way to earn money(assuming luck is neutral) fishing or mining? (i also have a silo and a chicken coop(level1) if that effects your desion)
(i am also on the tree farm type)
In my opinion, the best way to get money is by selling your animal produce. If you don't already have a heater for your animals, I would say it's a good investment, because then your animals will make better quality stuff.I also used to sell wood and that would make some money

@Lucyfer1219 thanks for the advice should I go for river or ocean fish
Probably ocean fish, river fish are also good but with the ocean you can try and catch a squid. They'll come up in a couple quests and sell up to 160$ at most without any fishing power ups
Psh... if you have nothing but plants or something you should go for forageables. if you have the winter seeds recipe you can make seeds and get the seeds back if you craft winter seeds again with the forageables you get from the winter seeds. these are also the only plants you can plant in winter on your SDV farm outside. forage! and i dont know about you, but in year 1 of winter (while i did have the greenhouse and i did use that for my money and not this) i didnt have a high enough level in fishing to get anything good.
I just got done with year 1 and I mostly focused on animals (I only had chicken and cows) and I turned their produce into Mayo and Cheese and sold that. Also I don't know if this is true but in my experience the purple stared products wouldn't make purple artisan goods so I just sold those when I got them instead of using them in the machines. I also went to the mines and went fishing a lot. It is also a good time to clear your farm.
That is true, no matter what grade/star your product is, once it becomes an artisan product it has no grade unless it is made with a large variant.
